Nike Dunk Vandal Premium - Fall 2009

Last week, we gave you a sneak peek at an upcoming Dunk High model that sports a silver Vandal-esque nylon upper and now it appears that they will not be alone in the Nike Fall 2009 collection. Two additional nylon colorways of what Nike is calling the Dunk Vandal Premium will also be on the way to retailers soon. One pair features a solid Black upper and midsole with Green Spark accents and a set of Zitron laces. The other colorway uses a Midnight Navy base with touches of New Magenta and Total Orange. As mentioned before, both of these Dunk Vandal Premiums, as well as the Silver/Blue/Red pair, will be coming to select Nike accounts soon, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

Skateboarders and sneaker fans may be thinking about the autumn collections of their favorite shoe company but Vans is already thinking ahead to 2008. The Vans Mountain Edition Highs are a high top version of the shoe maker’s traditional skate shoe with checkerboard design. This shoe should not be much more expensive than other Vans offerings and it is ideal for skateboarders hat need greater ankle support.
The best part about the Vans Mountain Edition Highs is the strap affixed for your comfort over the shoe laces. You can use the Velcro strap to keep your feet protected while you are boarding and easily take your shoes off by ripping the strap from its Velcro landing. You should save some money from the holidays and head down to your local shoe store in early 2008 to get these great shoes.

Kanye Designing His Louis Vuitton Don

Everybody knows Kanye used to call himself the Louis Vuitton Don. In 2006, he walked on stage at the Def Poetry Jam carrying an LV bag -which wasn’t even available until then- against a backdrop of stacked LV trunks. Not long after that, he hires LV-designer/artist/muse Takashi Murakami as art director for his ‘Graduation’ album. Yeezy might as well have been wearing a T-shirt that said: “Where are you Jacobs?”

Radii Straight Jacket

Radii (ray-dee-eye) footwear was launched in Fall 2008 but because of designs like the Radii Straight Jacket, they are already making a splash. This distinctive design features two buckles around the forefoot and one around the ankle, a side zipper and (to top it all off) striking metallic colors. Although buckles are rarely seen on sneakers, you do expect to find them on sneakers named “Straight Jacket.” And, they work well.

Earlier this month, the eagerly awaited Kanye West x Louis Vuitton footwear collection was finally released, and although we’ve already given you multiple looks at the kicks, now it’s time to check out their luxurious packaging. Here we get a peek at two pairs of Don’s with all the trimmings. The shoes come in a classy “Louis Vuitton et Kanye West” box that contains an individual LV bag for each sneaker. In addition, each pair comes with extra laces in small envelope pouches and what appear to be some mini booklets as well.
